What is Integr8or Integr8or is a transfer protocol designed to allow mobile devices with connectivity capabilities the ability to remotely communicate with backend office business applications. Integ8or is a server based Mobile Application Server offering configured to connect to company databases related to pre-defined mobile business applications. Connectivity to Integr8or from the mobile applications is via: o GSM o GPRS o HSCSD o HSDPA o UMTS (3G) o Wi-Fi o WIMAX o CDMA. Integr8or technology allows for Integr8or-compliant off-the-shelf or bespoke Mobile Composite Applications to remotely connect to complex relational databases and database structures and retrieve and update data in virtually real-time. As the result of Integr8or’s comprehensive protocol structure, mobile client connections to Integr8or are platform independent, fast and effective. Corporate servers can handle complex and time-consuming tasks whereas clients with limited hardware capabilities, such as handheld devices, cannot. With Integr8or the data is safe. Its load-balancing capabilities ensure maximum uptime and performance so your business can achieve maximum efficiency. Integr8or transfers packets of data bi-directionally between server and client over most mobile telephony networks. Connectivity time and/or data transfer is significantly enhanced owing to the fact that only specific data is moved between server and mobile client thereby delivering reduction in telephony costs to companies as well as enhancing the whole mobile user experience. Integr8or incorporates MySQL as the standard database for back-end storage and configuration. Integr8or also has the ability to use Oracle or Microsoft SQL databases. New data can be added on the handheld and transferred via Integr8or back to any ODBC/ADO compliant back office system, legacy system and/or specific application, thereby making the mobile device interactive with the company’s IT infrastructure. Since Integr8or is not browser–dependant, mobile client applications may be used off-line for multiple data entries which in turn allows the user to upload batched data when convenient or when the telephony connection is re-established. Devices suitable for use with the mobile clients include: a. Pocket PC devices, b. Palm Operating System devices c. And Symbian 7+ devices. Integr8or does not access web content (HTML, XML, etc.), but accesses the required data directly from the server or database, thus speeding up data transfer. Using Integr8or, the handshake processes, data transfer, connection and termination is faster. Integr8or Server Integr8or Server is configured to connect to your corporate databases, where all information is stored, allowing for the extraction of only the required specific information pertinent to the mobile client application deployed on a mobile device. Integr8or handles all connection requests, authentication, processing and packet building facilities. After successful logon to Integr8or, the mobile client requests data from the server in the form of a SQL query. Integr8or interprets the query and extracts the data from the related corporate database/s. Data is formatted into an Integr8or packet, which is sent to the mobile client for manipulation. Integr8or handles all data requests, and packet building for the mobile client, the mobile client will handle packet unravelling, moving data to the mobile client database/s as well as enforcing the various business logic rules. Corporate servers can handle complex and time consuming tasks, using Integr8or the mobile client moves data to the server for manipulation and receives back the processed information in near real-time. With Integr8or businesses can perform at their optimum levels by allowing the mobile workforce the ability to access vital company or client information as and when it’s required. Corporate databases can be updated in real time thereby reducing lead-time and increasing overall productivity. Access to vital decision making information, is available anytime, anywhere. Benefits of Integr8or a. Integr8or only transfers the captured or altered data therefore less data is transferred thus improving the data usage efficiency through various data carrier mediums like GPRS. b. Data can still be captured if the mobile devices battery strength is insufficient to operate the modem. c. Smart clients are still operational with no network coverage. d. No browser required. e. Mobile clients are instantly accessed. f. Advanced back office processing is possible. g. Will run on operating systems intended for the small businesses (e.g. Windows NT, 2000 and XP).
